Congratulations to the first cohort of FARMERS staffers in completing the QWAY LLC NQA-1 Training course!
FARMERS Industrial announces the launch of its ASME NQA-1 Nuclear Quality Assurance Program baseline and the achievement of administrative compliance, marking an important milestone in the company’s strategic expansion to support the nuclear supply chain.
The programmatic foundation includes a Quality Assurance Program Description (QAPD), operational procedures, implementing forms, and requirements traceability mapping aligned to NQA-1 Part I and applicable Part II requirements. This work establishes the quality framework needed to move from program development into active implementation.
FARMERS is positioned to support nuclear supply chain needs across a range of fabrication and field services, including piping spools to complete systems, pressure vessels, ductwork, structural steel, skids, fully assembled modules, and experience with more than 50 metal alloys and 670+ qualified welding procedures.
“Establishing our ASME NQA-1 program baseline - including our QAPD and implementing procedures mapped to all applicable NQA-1 Part I and Part II requirements - demonstrates that FARMERS is building the procedural and documentation discipline that nuclear buyers expect,” said David J. Clem, CEO of FARMERS.
“Through structured pilot projects, we intend to verify implementation of these controls under real project conditions, close any gaps identified through internal assessments, and provide objective evidence packages that support our customers’ procurement, audit, and oversight processes.”
With the administrative and programmatic foundation in place, FARMERS is pursuing collaborative pilot projects with nuclear utilities, prime contractors, and other purchasing organizations.
“These pilot opportunities are intended to validate implementation of the company’s quality procedures in live operating scenarios, refine execution interfaces, and demonstrate readiness ahead of larger nuclear contract awards. These collaborations will also establish critical partnerships for the next wave of nuclear demand,” Clem added.
